Dear editor,

Having read your essays in your magazine, I, a loyal fan of your magazine, was fascinated by one of them themed influencers and am thirsty to air some of my opinions.

Influencers, the product of information technology, are having mixed impacts on the lives of contemporary students. Some have the assumption that they bring false values to youngsters while others hold the opposite view. From my perspective, influencers exert nothing but a positive effect on students.

Dong Yuhui, an Internet hit, is a fairly typical case. Dong Yuhui, once an English teacher in a tutorial center, had no alternative but to transfer his role as a teacher to a host promoting goods through livestreaming due to the double reduction policy. Unlike other livestreaming hosts selling goods only by shouting, Dong Yuhui leaves his followers an extremely deep impression that not only is he expert at interacting with netizens but also demonstrates his abundant knowledge of literature and high proficiency in English. His livestreaming has gained a growing number of followers with many casting him as the "top ceiling" of live-streamers. Numerous fans including students flood into his livestreaming hall not because they have a strong desire to buy the goods but because they are capable of learning a lot from him, from history to culture.
